The puppies are always the priority
At Yogi Paws, puppy welfare is at the heart of everything we do. We prioritise the well-being of our puppies. Here's exactly how we keep them happy, healthy and safe.
Puppy safe spaces
We will never partner with a studio that doesn't have a separate ‘puppy safe space’. It's non-negotiable. It gives the puppies somewhere familiar to retreat to whenever they want, with fresh water always available.
Rest & downtime
We run a maximum of three classes a day, with 50 minutes of rest between each. Regular feeding times are never disrupted, and puppies always have somewhere quiet to rest away from people.
Ethically bred & vetted
Before any puppy joins us, they go through a strict vetting process to ensure they've been ethically bred and raised in loving family environments. Puppy home visits are non-negotiable, and every litter is visited beforehand.
Health & vaccinations
Every puppy must have had their first vaccination, and we always require proof from their owners before they can take part in a class.
Spotless studios
Before the puppies arrive, the entire studio and all yoga mats are cleaned with Parvo-Virucide to prevent any risk of infection. Toys and beds are washed at high temperatures to kill any potential germs.
Safe handling
Every participant signs a puppy consent form, uses the hand sanitiser provided and leaves shoes, coats and bags outside the studio. Before the puppies come out we give a safety demonstration: stay seated, never lift a puppy too high or far, and let them do whatever makes them happy.
Trained supervision
We always have a canine first-aid-trained team member present at every class, keeping a close eye on every puppy throughout the session.
Low, comfortable ratios
We keep a low puppy-to-human ratio in every class so the puppies feel comfortable and are never overwhelmed by too many people.
Questions about our welfare practices?
We're always happy to talk through our approach. Transparency is non-negotiable.
